About me
Inspired by the rugged beauty of Lake Superior’s waterfalls, rivers, and shoreline, I create original Punch Needle artwork incorporating natural materials gathered from its shores—rocks, and driftwood. My pieces are available framed in a variety of styles or as kits that include a prepped canvas with pattern, driftwood, and stones.
I also enjoy rock tumbling and polishing and frequently visit galleries featuring regional creators. My Punch Needle process is intuitive and pattern‑free. I often begin by selecting stone, envisioning the design it inspires, and building the composition around it. I often add Agates, Copper, and Sea Glass among the rocks in my pictures. Clear quartz frequently appears in my depictions of rivers, waterfalls, and ice. In addition to Punch Needle, I am expanding my practice to include mixed‑media watercolor pieces featuring driftwood, small stones, and embroidery.
I’m grateful to share my love of art with my two grown daughters, who also enjoy creating art..

As a retired RN, I spend my days exploring the Upper Peninsula with my husband—fishing, canoeing, hiking, and collecting the rocks and driftwood that become central to my work. I am an active member of a local art league and paint plein air regularly with fellow artists.
